Event description

How can we innovate for accessibility to increase the participation of people with disabilities in the evolving labour market? Belief in one’s abilities in the face of overwhelming odds and challenges is the starting line for 14% Canadians who live with a disability. According to Industry Canada statistics, the number of SMEs whose owners are persons with a disability in Canada is declining.

On October 30th join us as we explore why fewer persons with disabilities are taking the leap to become business owners and some of the ways we can innovate for accessibility. Our panel of experts will explore the challenges faced by people with disabilities and what organizations like The Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University is doing to support the 3.8M Canadians living with a disability.

Accessibility: The Chang School is committed to accessibility for persons with disabilities. Please contact us 2–3 weeks in advance of the event if you have any particular accommodation requirements.
